Abergavenny Arts Festival

There’s heaps going on at The Abergavenny Arts Festival and I’ll be there with the Made in Monmouthshire members on the Sunday 1st July for the very big Arts Fest in the Market Hall. I have 1 very big original on canvas, smaller originals on canvas and also framed, Sea Sprays on small wooden panels, limited edition giclee prints and finally Arty Scarves printed from original paintings.

There will also be art demos during the day and I’ll be showing how I do Sea Sprays – hope to see you there

Sea Waves crashing in

The lovely Ian & Belinda bought ‘Sea Waves crashing in’ from the Sea Spray collection of paintings at our recent Arty Party Exhibition in Sydney, Australia.

Created by painting with acrylic inks and pouring medium on a wooden panel 30cms x 30cms

Into the Light for John Butterworth

Into the light JB

Loved painting Into the Light and very pleased that it has a new home in Sydney, Australia – thank you Claudia Sagripanti and John Butterworth.  Into the Light is painted on 640gsm watercolour paper with inks and the light part I’ve used some iridescent inks so it kind of sparkles and shimmers when the light catches it!

The Tube seeks new swish home

The Tube sitting at the Gallery

The Tube is 80cms x 80cms and is created from an original artwork where I’ve painted and mixed inks between layers of a non-toxic pouring medium (a bit like resin).  Each layer takes months to cure with the finish result looking slightly 3D and it sparkles and shimmers in the light.  To create a large piece of art, I’ve had the painting photographed at the Imaging Studio, printed on a special metallic and then had it face-mounted.

The finished piece looks great and really contemporary and would look stunning on a white or perhaps chocolate brown or black wall — and would look great at a beach house, contemporary apartment, a swish hotel.

The Tube is for sale as a limited edition of 25.
