The dark brooding and drama filled Misty Mountains was a commission for my dear friend Steve in Melbourne. Really enjoyed painting this as I love the darks; purple, greens, blues and then iridescent pearl floated in to create the mist. The the inspiration came from a mix of the Blue Mountains and the brooding Welsh Hills. Let’s hope Steve likes it too 🙂
I poured and flicked inks and then sprayed with water on a 160gsm watercolour paper 60cms x 40cms
