Description
A 1 meter square canvas painted in acrylics & inks of the Monmouthshire & Brecon Canal. We’re lucky enough to live by the towpath and constantly inspired by our surroundings of the canal, the rivers and the black mountains. We live in Gilwern between Abergavenny and Crickhowell, it’s a very beautiful part of South Wales.
The painting isn’t an exact copy and was originally inspired by a local photographer who captured the colours brilliantly; it’s a little bit impressionistic and I had the need to add blue and pink trees. A local couple have bought the original when they saw it hanging at The Towpath Inn, Gilwern but I have limited edition prints for sale, which are available in all sizes.
